Building on a general dynamic that has been ongoing for many years and the energy of a new “wave” of young people, Zaltimbanq’ has launched the Creation Workshops project, aimed at children and young people between the ages of 9 and 13. After several years of practice, some of the young participants were motivated to embark on a new, more specific, creative, and artistic adventure. This project was designed for them, those eager to dive into the artistic creation of “Circus,” and through weekly classes, intensive workshops, presentation moments, cultural awakening, and encounters, they were given time and a limitless space for expression, where personalities, potential, creativity, and a sense of community flourished. Throughout the process, the young participants were the driving force, and the group was energized by the strengths of each individual.

This creation, which is the culmination of the project, was unveiled as part of the Festival sous Chapiteau 2024, organized every two years by Zaltimbanq. On the theme of a train journey, the fifteen participants took the audience on an artistic journey, punctuated by several stops presented in the form of artistic sketches. Juggling, acrobatics, unicycling, and bilboquet were on the program, not forgetting self-overcoming, mutual support, creativity, and learning new techniques.
