Running from February to June 2023, the LUX IN FASHION project enabled 13 young girls and boys to take their first steps in the world of fashion by designing clothes themselves and staging them during a photo shoot against the backdrop of Luxembourg’s historic heritage. The participants also benefited from a short course in the history of fashion and styling to give them a better understanding of the context in which they all dream of evolving one day.
With this project, Sarvenaz Koutchesfahani, an external expert at the Lycée Lënster International School, carried out her first educational activity aimed at young people. She gave them the opportunity to produce an artistic work in a setting that gave them a great deal of responsibility in a variety of ways: teamwork, organising the schedule and adhering to a budget on the one hand, but also brainstorming, drawings, photo shoots, dressmaking, hairstyling and make-up…
To round off the project, the students organised a fashion show and exhibition at the Luxembourg Center for Architecture in front of their families, teachers and special guests. It was an evening that demonstrated the confidence, self-assurance and creativity acquired through the LUX IN FASHION project.
