As part of the project ‘Forgotten Victims – What Now?’, students from ENAD (National School for Adults) carried out an interdisciplinary theatre project in collaboration with their teacher and professional artists under the direction of theatre educator Laetitia Lang.
The project is based on an in-depth reflection on the ‘forgotten victims’ of Nazism, highlighting groups that have long been marginalised: homosexuals, people of non-Christian faiths, Sinti and Roma, black people, and people living on the streets.
The students designed the play largely independently: writing the texts, creating the scenes, and recording the sound. Their work combined historical research with reflection on current societal issues.
Through a collective artistic approach, the project aimed to raise awareness of human rights, historical memory and social responsibility. It took the form of a play, which revealed the progress made by the students in their creative and research process.
