The ‘Lone Wolves’ project enabled 62 pupils from the Lycée International School Michel Lucius and the Lënster Lycée to take part in the creation of a play on the theme of group behaviour. Co-directors Anne Simon (LU) and Isaac Bush (NY) led practical workshops with the pupils in which they explored examples of pack mentality through physical, vocal and choral work based on non-verbal theatrical practice and acting.
The aim of this educational project was to work with the pupils to explore simple theatrical techniques that will help them in the future to express themselves better, stimulate their creative thinking, develop an awareness of the group and their own functioning within it, and be able to make choices instead of acting impulsively. At the end of the project, when the participants and teachers were asked about their impressions and experiences, the artistic and educational team noted that most of the pupils had indeed been able to acquire an active awareness of and a new perception of the world around them.
