“EarGlasses” is an educational initiative that has enabled young people to develop their voices through podcasting. By combining storytelling, oral communication, intercultural dialogue and digital media skills, the project has supported language development, cultural expression and media literacy in an engaging and inclusive format.
Between April and July 2025, Vessela Vencheva, Jess Bauldry and Nick Todorov ran “EarGlasses” with Year 6 pupils at Lënster International School. Over ten weeks, the pupils took part in weekly workshops guiding them through the entire podcast production process — from brainstorming ideas and conducting interviews to recording, editing and public presentation. The pilot project concluded with a public listening event bringing together peers, parents and teachers, followed by the online publication of the podcasts produced by the pupils.
