Following the latest call for proposals, the Board of Fondation Sommer has decided to support 8 new projects.

3rd professional meeting

The major challenges of empowering children and young people through arts and culture. | Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Vauban, Ecole et lycée français de Luxembourg | During this 3rd professional meeting, organized by the Fondation Sommer, we aim to collectively reflect on the findings and observations we have gathered through our support of participatory cultural projects for children and young people. A day of sharing experiences, reflecting, and seeking solutions, open to artists, professionals in formal and non-formal education, culture, the social sector, and members of intercultural NGOs.

Documentary on Artists-in-Residence Programs in Schools

This film traces the four artists-in-residence programs in schools, carried out during the 2023/2024 school year in various schools and high schools in Luxembourg, as part of the project's experimental phase. It is a documentary by SCRIPT, under the Ministry of National Education, Childhood, and Youth.

Change within the Board of Directors of the Sommer Foundation

Following its General Assembly on July 24, the Sommer Foundation marks the departure of Stéphanie Jauquet after a 5-year term. On this same occasion, the entry of Fabrice Roth as a new member of the Board of Directors was voted in.

Interdisciplinary Meeting 'Artistic and Cultural Education' - Report

On March 27 and 28, 2024, the Sommer Foundation and the Master's program in Secondary Education at the University of Luxembourg co-organized an interdisciplinary meeting focused on the theme of artistic and cultural education in Luxembourg, highlighting various aspects of this topic.

Digital Challenge 2024 - Appel à participation pour structures culturelles

La Fondation Sommer collabore pour la deuxième année consécutive avec IMS Luxembourg - Inspiring more sustainability pour l’organisation du projet Digital Challenge. Digital Challenge permet à des jeunes lycéen·nes de faire une journée d’immersion en équipe dans la structure de leur choix, le mercredi 23 octobre 2024. Le but est de découvrir le monde du travail tout en répondant à l’une des problématiques de la structure qui les accueille (un « Challenge » en lien avec le digital ou le développement durable). En fin de journée, le groupe de jeunes proposera une solution en coopérant avec les salarié·es de l’organisation.

Appel à projets Résidences d’artistes en milieu scolaire

Dans le cadre d'un projet pilote d’expérimentation des résidences d’artistes en milieu scolaire au Luxembourg, démarré en septembre 2023, la Fondation Sommer est heureuse d’ouvrir une seconde phase du programme, en partenariat avec le Script et le Ministère de la Culture.

« Culture et jeunesse » : Retour sur la première rencontre professionnelle de la Fondation Sommer

Plus d’une centaine d’acteurs des secteurs culturel, social et éducatif se sont retrouvés le 28 septembre dans l’auditorium du Mudam à l’occasion de la première rencontre professionnelle de la Fondation Sommer. La matinée a donné lieu à la présentation de trois des projets soutenus par la Fondation et à d’enrichissants échanges avec le public présent.
